Move Vacuum and References

Previous   Next

Vacuum pods are tools used for ensuring that the piece is tightly clamped on the worktable, so that it cannot move even when submitted to pushes or pressures.

The machining centre is equipped with various types of vacuum pods; they can vary in number according to the equipment version.

References are tools used for positioning the blank piece onboard the machining centre.

Selecting all these elements takes place with a mouse click on the form desired in the dialog box section regarding vacuum pods and reference stops; with the drag n’ drop operation the form is positioned inside the machining table.

The following components can be identified in the table:

-     vacuum pods;

-     reference stops.

Vacuum pods and Reference Stops can be moved on the table at will.

During their movement any possible interference with other reference stops and vacuum pods present on the table are check; as far as reference stops are concerned, the end stop against the piece is also highlighted.

When the function Move Vacuum pods and End Stops is active, if any table element (vacuum pods, reference stops, vices etc.) is selected and then the mouse right button is pressed, the above reported window appears.

By means of the Magnetic option it is possible to establish whether the vice / reference stop movement is free or it must be bound to some pre-established fixed positions by the holes present on the table.

With the option Delete it is possible to erase the selected elements (vacuum pods, reference stops, vices etc.); such an operation can also be carried out by dragging the element outside the table by means of a drag ‘n drop operation.
