EasyWood

Properties of surface roughing

Sinking:                              it specifies the machining sinking value into the blank piece.

The sinking parameter must be specified by entering positive values for "penetrating" the piece. Where the path lenght is too small for the two bits to carry it out, such sinking will be suitably reduced in automatic mode.

Step:                                  this machining can be done in more passes. This parameter specifies the step to use if the machining is to be carried out in more steps. EasyWOOD automatically generates a machining carried out with steps that allow homogeneous passes starting from the value set by the user This parameter is considered only with blades and mills.

Cordal E.:                            cordal error is the tolerance coefficient which has to be applied on the surface of the piece during surface roughing.

Machine stop:                     when activated this function enables stopping the machining centre and setting it in “Hold” status on completion of the current machining. At this point the operator can check the result, remove the cut material etc. To have the machining centre restart the normal work cycle just press the “START” button.

Advanced properties.

Pass Distance:                    it indicates the distance in XY between each tool pass. In kits with holes it means the distance between the hole centres. It can be set to automatic mode for leaving the calculation of the default distance to the software.

Type pocketing:                 it’s the type of tool path  used in Pocketing. It can be “Spiral”, “Zig-zag” or “One Way”, only with mill kit.

Angle:                                 it is the angle of passes in pocketing. It is used only for “Zig-zag” or “One Way” tool path. For kit with normal blade it shows the angle of blade passes.

Direct calculation:               when enabled it forces the program to carry out the calculations relating the machining path at the supplement stage. Otherwise the software does the calculations only when the user selects the Apply command in the machining control.
